Recently the children have been enjoying many activities relating to Halloween and Bonfire Night. A highlight was definitely the Halloween disco and carving pumpkins. Many children have spent time in the water area this week experimenting with ramps and pumpkins. They have been looking at which pumpkins were the fastest at splashing into the water first and they looked at whether adjusting the height of the ramp made any difference. Excellent investigative work classes 1 and 2.
Children from both classes have listened to the story of Guy Fawkes and shared their own experiences of going to Bonfire Events. Some of the children created their own fireworks painting outside by getting rather messy, splashing the paint around!
