Report:
Mrs Bainbridge talked to the school council about lots of different things within the school.
She explained that being bullied is not just friends falling out; it is when something happens all the time. The children told us that bullying can come in many forms such as;
- Josh said, “when people fight you”
- Evangeline-Lilly, “calling names”
- Kaitlyn, “being nasty”
The children told us that it would make them feel sad and came up with ideas of what they would do if they were being bullied. Mark suggested we tell a grown up or teacher.
The children told Mrs Bainbridge some of our rights that they have. Kaitlyn, “we have the right to have friends and food.” Mrs Bainbridge explained that not everyone was as lucky as us and did not have food all the time like us.
Mrs Bainbridge also asked the children what they had heard on the news about people coming into our country. Tiana told us that they have no fresh water so they are coming here for some.
- Evengeline-Lilli said, “they have nothing to drink”
- Tiana also said, “they might be hungry”
- Mark, “God might sort it out.”
We discussed different ways we could help them and how we could raise some money for a charity such as WaterAid.
